Naava is the winning entry in a design competition organized to celebrate VM Carpet's 50th anniversary, designed by Laura Krekula.
"The inspiration for Naava-Rug comes from memories of childhood summer trips with my mother in the old forests of Lapland. Long strands of moss hung from the branches of the trees everywhere. The sight was magical, peaceful, and beautiful. The design language of Naava-Rug stems from this memory. The long stems of the moss continue along the fringes, Rug reaching further over the edge. They sway gently in the wind, quietly telling us a story. Nature finds its way into our home.
