Skärhamn is a handwoven cotton rug featuring wide stripes accented by narrower stripes. The mottled yarn adds vibrancy to the color palette, and the natural white fringes complete the traditional striped rug’s look.
Made of 100% cotton, with a reversible design and machine-washable, Skärhamn is a practical choice for everyday use. The rug is part of the IH Collection and is available in three color options: pastel, earth, and multi.
Skärhamn is perfect for the kitchen, entryway, children’s room, and vacation home. The wide range of sizes helps you find the right option for everything from a long hallway to a living room.
Pair the striped rug with solid-color curtains and wooden furniture for a cozy look. You can pick out a single shade from the rug to match other textiles or let it be the room’s most colorful detail. Alongside clean-lined furniture, the stripes add rhythm to the decor.
Skärhamn is handwoven in India. Both sides of the rug can be used, and the natural white warp continues as fringes along the short sides. Slight variations in the weave are a natural part of a handwoven rug.
Color options include pastel, earth, and multi. Standard sizes are 70 × 140, 70 × 200, 70 × 250, 70 × 300, 130 × 190, 160 × 230, and 200 × 290 cm.
Check the size options for your chosen color in the product catalog. In the hallway, leave some floor visible around the rug. In the living room, a rug that’s large enough brings the furniture together, and in the kitchen, you should plan the rug’s placement based on the work area and traffic patterns.
Clean small stains with a light-colored, clean cotton cloth dampened with lukewarm water and a small amount of dish soap. Do not scrub.
The rug can be washed at a maximum temperature of 30°C. Hang to dry along the direction of the stripes and follow the rug’s care labels.
