Mårbacka is a hand-woven wool rug featuring a natural white background enlivened by horizontal stripes and stylized floral motifs along the edges. Shades of green, blue, yellow, and red bring a fresh and cozy feel to the traditional pattern.
The classic röllakan weave suits both modern and traditional interiors. Made of 100% wool, the rug is naturally stain-resistant, and both sides of this reversible rug can be used. Mårbacka is part of the IH Collection.
Mårbacka brings the look of a traditional woven rug to your living room and dining area. The light-colored background provides a canvas for the colorful details and makes it easy to pair the rug with a variety of furniture.
Pair Mårbacka with a wooden dining table or a solid-color sofa to highlight the floral pattern. You can pick out a single shade from the rug for pillows or curtains and keep the other textiles neutral. Even in a minimalist interior, the rug adds an interesting, traditional-inspired detail.
Mårbacka is handwoven in India. Slight variations in the weave are part of the unique character of a handmade rug.
The rug can be used on either side. Flip and rotate it regularly to ensure even wear.
Mårbacka Multi is available in the following standard sizes:
A smaller size is suitable for next to a bed, for example, and a long, narrow option works well in a hallway. In the living room, choose a size that fits under the front legs of your sofa. Under the dining table, leave enough space to move the chairs so they stay on the rug when you sit down.
Vacuum regularly without using a rotating brush. Avoid robot vacuums and turbo brushes.
Remove small stains immediately with a damp sponge and a small amount of dish soap. Do not scrub; instead, blot dry with a clean cotton cloth. Professional flat-bed cleaning is recommended for washing the entire rug.
