Åby is a handwoven cotton rug featuring a traditional striped pattern complemented by classic houndstooth motifs. Stripes of varying widths and diverse weave patterns bring the surface to life. Fringes on the short sides add the finishing touch to its cozy look.
Made of 100% cotton, with a reversible design and machine-washable, Åby is a practical rug for everyday use. Åby is part of the IH Collection and is available in five colors: sand, green, gray, blue, and beige.
Åby is perfect for the kitchen, utility room, and vacation home. The long, narrow sizes are also a natural choice for hallways or next to the bed.
Pair the striped rug with solid-color textiles to let the woven patterns stand out. When paired with wooden furniture, the look feels cozy, and in a minimalist interior, the stripes add variety to the room. You can repeat one of the rug’s shades in curtains or small accents.
Åby is handwoven in Pakistan. The rug can be used on either side, and slight variations in the weave are a natural part of a handmade product.
Color options include sand, green, gray, blue, and beige. Standard sizes are 70 × 160, 70 × 240, and 70 × 300 cm. Check the size options for your chosen color in the product selection.
Measure the space before ordering and leave some floor visible around the Rug. In the kitchen, consider the Rug’s placement in relation to the work area and the dining table. In the hallway, the right length helps create a cohesive look for the walkway.
Clean small stains with a light-colored, clean cotton cloth dampened with lukewarm water and a small amount of dish soap. Do not scrub.
The rug can be washed at a maximum temperature of 30 °C. Hang to dry with the stripes running parallel, and follow the rug’s washing instructions.
