Choosing a hallway rug
The hallway rug must not be too thick or too narrow. On the other hand, should the rug be rectangular or round? Here are some tips for choosing a hallway rug:
1. The rug must not be too narrow
Always choose a rug according to the space and keep in mind that you choose a rug that stays a maximum of 10-15 centimeters away from the walls. If the hallway is like a lobby instead of a narrow space, then a round rug is also suitable for this kind of hallway.
2. Choose a durable material
Hallway rugs are basically always made of wear-resistant and dirt-repellent material. Natural materials such as sisal and jute are durable materials. Artificial fibers, such as polyamide or polypropylene, are also durable and easy-to-maintain material for the hallway rug.
3. The rug in the hallway should be the right thickness
Take into account in the hall that the doors can certainly open when you choose a hall rug. A Rug that is too thick prevents the door from opening normally.
4. Take possible underfloor heating into account

5. Make sure that the rug in the hallway stays in place
The hallway is the busiest place in your home, so it is important to ensure that the rug stays firmly on the floor. Many hallway rugs are ready rubber sole which automatically holds the rug firmly on the floor. If you don't have a non-slip base ready, make sure you get a carpet under it skid barrier or you place, for example, the front legs of a chest of drawers on the edges of the carpet, so the carpet does not move.
