Finarte Columbus Wool rug - Blue

Finarte Columbus -Rug wasdesigned byEija Rasinmäki and was created in the late 1990s as one of her first wool rugs for Finarte. Its beautiful color palette combines dark and light shades of blue with subtle light beige details, creating a harmonious and elegant whole.

The inspiration for Columbus came from a view from an airplane—a vast blue sea and islands that twinkled like lights. This impression found its way into the rug in an abstract form, giving it both its recognizable look and a name reminiscent of an explorer.

Hand-tufted from luxurious, thick wool and finished with a sturdy cotton backing, Columbus is naturally stain-resistant, durable, and pleasantly soft underfoot. Thanks to its practical features, it suits a wide range of interiors, from living rooms to bedrooms, and brings timeless beauty to everyday life.
