Mattokymppi imports rugs from several countries, including India, Turkey, and the EU region. They ensure the sustainability of production environments through certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, SA8000, Care & Fair, BSCI, and Sedex SMETA Mattokymppi Oy.

Mulesing-Free Wool and Ethical Production Chains

Our handwoven wool and cotton rugs from India are made using mulesing-free wool, and our partner factories are family-owned, committed to ethical practices and the elimination of child labor Mattokymppi Oy.

Environmentally Friendly Logistics

When selecting production countries, renewable energy sources such as solar power in Belgium, Greece, and Turkey are taken into consideration. In addition, Mattokymppi prioritizes sea freight and the use of large 40-foot containers. Environmentally Responsible Production

All products are manufactured responsibly on the shores of Lake Lappajärvi. The production runs on 100% climate-neutral hydroelectric power, supported by an on-site solar power plant (72.84 kWp, generating approximately 69,647 kWh per year), ensuring an eco-friendly and sustainable manufacturing process VM Carpet.

EcoCompass and Carbon Footprint Monitoring
